Need a logo created for T&A or rather the Triad Institute of Technology's Acquistion Service
Document here describing the logo and color choices are left out. Just looking for something fairly simple but with a slick look to it.

can anyone help?

Rough draft:
trial image

Still needs to wrap the words, a little clean up, and possibly different colors. but it's the general idea.

And Larry, do some Word Art magic and see what you come up with.

Love the font, can the words be curved around the circle and another circle with a wider diameter placed around them so that it could also be a patch?

The 3 sides of the triangle and the 3 angles are suppose to represent hard sciences I have a list of 5 anyone got an idea for the 6th? Math perhaps?

Physics, chemistry, biology, earth science,  astronomy,

Concerning color and symbolism: I like the red gear representing engineering however I dont have any set ideas for the other colors, Blue and Yellow are all right I just dont have any ideas as to what the color should be other than I'm sure I dont want pink. REd, Yellow and blue are primary colors and perhaps someon at the institute though that these 3 colors that make up all others would have a symbolism that would tie into science. Anyone else have an idea?

I'd say physics, chemistry, geology, astronomy, biology and math for the six although you could argue that math isn't a science.  You could use zoology instead.

I'll definitely wrap the words and can add an outer circle as well.  I just hadn't gotten that far yet.

I picked red, yellow, and blue for the very reason that they are the primary colors and they are simple.  Logos are supposed to be simple.  I thought about metalic colors (sliver, copper, gold) as well and may try a version with those although they would be harder to do as a patch.

Keep tossing out suggestions.

Perhaps the vrusk see math as a science and since this is set on a colony settled by 3 of the core four and named Triad perhaps everyone got imput and the vrusk were just, "Dude you left out Math!" or the vrusk equiv of that statement.

My original thought was that the areas of the circle outside the triangle could be 3 different colors to represent 3 different things but seeing the rough draft I dont think that is a good idea.

Okay, here's a cleaned up version.  I also switched the blue and yellow as I think it looks better.

If you want some color in the outer ring let me know what you want and I can add it.

Thank you very much Tom. Looks great. I agree about the blue and yellow and I like the outer ring white. Need to locate the vest I use to wear on camping trips with the scouts and get this made into a patch.

I've been thinking about the "Acquisition Service" originally it was invented for fun to pick up the T&A motiff for a laugh. But it seems to me that having the patch actually say that would lead to a perception that they are after stuff and would in turn lead to a negative reaction by government officials on far flung planets.

Thinking that it might be best to change it to Archaeological or Artifact or even Antiquities Service.
or something similar. not sure yet.

Archaeology & Survey Squad - could work.

I like TriTech just fine and truth be told I was doing a delivery at MIT when I invented it.

As for the team name I think "Archaeology & Science Team" will work if you dont mind changing that.

Hey, Tom just had two ideas: add a Latin motto for the institution and change the color to a metallic bronze. Have to research Latin mottos for educational institutions though.

You want the whole thing bronze or just part of it?  And yes, you'll have to give me the motto you want.

OK: from the National U. Of Tucuman Argentina, "Pedes in Terra ad Sierra Visus " which is Latin for "feet on the ground sight to the universe" if you ad this to the crest version and do the whole thing in bronze and black like it was a bronze plaque hanging in a building lobby I think that will be perfect.
