| jedion357 January 7, 2009 - 9:16am | Hi all back in the fall the Privateer Press game Monsterpocalypse was demoed at our war game club and I enjoyed it enough to buy in but aslo because I liked the map, building and units for use with star frontiers as well. I've bloged about it here: http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/SF-Un/message/723 The map is two sided depicting a down town section (like Port Loren) and one side had a canal system. I love the buildings and the small units are nice in that they're pre-painted plastic. Ebay is a great place to pick up units and building but the map only comes in the starter box. Despite having so much I wanted to use the game was a lot of fun with very complex strategy paired with reasonably simple mechanics The downside is that its a collectable game and the unit boxes are blind (random units and buildings) So this might not be the greatest thing to come down the pike (Possible fad game & blind collectors boxes) it is a nice alternative to the Port Loren map.
