Just bought 3 of the hot wheels starship line Star Destroyers. They are about 3 or so inches long and come with a nice flight stand. Clearly star destroyers dont work in the KHs game per se but the mini certainly fits it size wise.

So tentatively I'm calling them mechanon ships. Planet Destroyer class has a nice ring to it IMO.

Havent thought about stats yet but certainly 12 or more fighters would be a possibility.

I might not be a dralasite, vrusk or yazirian but I do play one in Star Frontiers!

Im thinking mechanons could tolerate greater crowding than biological species so i might break the KHs rules a little with this one: 16 (4 flights of 4 fighters) or 18 (3 squadrons of 6 fighters. 2 shuttles.

Hey, the Mechanons are probably plugged into cubicles like the Borg until they need to move around. They could probably pack quite a few into one of their ships plus their attendant robots.

It needs a super weapon, perhaps a long ranged cone-beam weapon that can destroy a city from a distance (i.e. so planetary ICM batteries are rendered worthless, it would have to be countered by planetary beam weapon batteries). Definitely a dreadnaught class ship, at least HS:20 if not larger...then it could carry even more fighters and transport craft.
I'm not overly fond of Zeb's Guide...nor do I have any qualms stating why. Tongue out

RE: packed in and extra: I had a similar thought thus more fighters than a standard carrier. and maybe there should be double the carrier standard

RE: Super weapon to destroy a planet: how about the "rod of god" a tungsten telephone pole that is launched at a city and impacts with the force of a multi megaton nuke but cleanly.

its effective and doesn't require super science.

The UPF banned orbital bombardment IIRC but the Mechanons, who petitioned for acceptance to the UPF were rejected thus they have no reason to care about a prohibition against orbital bombardment.

If anything, all of the Mechanons in terms of individual 'minds' could be in a computer and the various parts needed for their bodies could all be kept in on-board storage. As soon as they need to mix the two together, the ships builds them.
